The University of California, Santa Barbara is set to host another summer of Nike Vogelsinger Soccer Academy. Camp director Doug Parra has been with Vogelsinger Soccer Academy for over 36 years. A prodigy of Hubert Vogelsinger himself, Parra continued to work alongside Hubert for 25 years. Campers train on the grassy athletic fields on the bluffs of Santa Barbara overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Parra brings international soccer experience to the academy. Parra has spent time playing and coaching in Spain, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela.

“The Vogelsinger Soccer Academy at UCSB is a program designed for serious soccer players who have a desire to improve,” says VP of Nike Soccer Camps Renee Chapman. “Each year under the direction of Coach Parra campers have the ability to reach their highest potential. The skills and life lessons they learn are unparalleled. It is no surprise that soccer players from across the globe choose to attend the Academy at UCSB.”

The Nike Vogelsinger Soccer Academy at UCSB is coed. The All Star weeks run from June 17th-22nd, June 24th-29th, and July 1st-6th. The All Star camp is a week long training session. The Mini Academy is a two week program, the two sessions are June 17th-30th, and June 24th-July 6th. The three week Academy will run June 17th-July 6th where campers focus on progression and look to build on their performances from previous weeks.
